Welcome to A New Season at Dalkey United
Our first newsletter of the season: a new secretary, details on our kit distribution and Academy start dates

Friends, from the academy coaches to the senior team, everybody is getting ready for another year of football. We want to thank everyone so far for all the enthusiasm as we have returned to training over the past month. It has been great to see all the squads at Hyde and Hudson during these glorious late summer months. The effort put in by all our volunteers to get to this point is as remarkable as ever.
Kim and James Stok have worked tirelessly arranging training slots, submitting teams to the leagues and endless organising.
On that note, we want to thank James who, after four long years, is stepping away as secretary. The club wouldn’t function without the tireless hours James puts in so the club owes him a lot.
We also welcome our new secretary Graham Whelan. Graham is a member of the 2011 Boys coaching panel, and is a long-suffering Tottenham supporter (we seem to have a disproportionately high number of Spurs fans at Dalkey United). Graham also brings more than 20 years of experience in volunteering and committee roles in community-focused clubs and organisation and will be communicating to many of you over the weeks, months and years ahead.
Please join me in welcoming Graham and thanking both James and Graham for their time volunteering for Dalkey United.
Dion, Chairman
Calling on Volunteers
Dalkey United Football Club thrives on the dedication of our parents and volunteers and we count on your support to keep our club running smoothly!
Every small contribution counts. This year we’re seeking help in key areas: club communications, social media, technology, event organization, ground crew and pitch maintenance, organizing our younger age groups, and, of course, in coaching. Join us in nurturing our players and strengthening our community.
