One Week To Go: DUFC Champion's League (Volunteers Still Welcome)

Nearly 500 kids, more than 40 teams, as many coaches and managers and a lot of referees. Add in the burgers, sausages, tuck shop and all the rest and everything is falling into place for the Champion’s League next Sunday and Monday.
Teams will be announced in the coming days and it is not too late to volunteer. We are always looking for more people to help, so if you want to take some photos for our social channels or do a stint at the bbq please let us know. Please could we also ask that wherever possible, people leave the car at home, and instead walks, cycles or takes public transport.
We are also incredibly grateful to all our sponsors, and to our friends and neighbours Cuala for all of their assistance and generosity.

Once again we hope it will be a very special weekend with a ton of happy memories for all the kids (and the parents too!)

Ireland WNT v Poland
On Saturday 18 April, Ireland’s women’s national team played Poland at the Aviva and once again lots of our Dalkey girls were there to cheer them on. In beautiful sunshine, a first-half strike from Marissa Sheva sealed a thrilling 1–0 win for Ireland.
Inspiring stuff and a great day out for our players and parents.

The Magic of the Cup
Two of our teams enjoyed fantastic and dramatic success in cup competitions last week. Our 13M1 girls had an epic game at Hudson against a formidable Rosemount Mulvey side ending in an exciting 2-1 win for Dalkey.
The previous weekend our 12.1 boys made the long trip to Drogheda for a Saturday morning kick off in their cup semi final. They went a goal down but equalised and like the girls claimed victory in extra time.
The girls now have a semi final to look forward to next weekend while the boys will get to showcase their talents on DDSL finals day. It is a great reward for all the dedication shown by both sides and their coaches. Well done to both teams, coaches and parents.
